Did you know that a car wash uses less water then washing your vehicle yourself? Industry figures show a car wash uses between 37 and 40 gallons of water per car, whereas the homeowner will use between 80 and 100 gallons in the driveway. In that scenario, the car wash uses 50 to 60 percent less water.
Car washes are water conservationists. At the professional car wash they recycle water and are very careful with it. Some reports indicate they use about 28 or 30 gallons a car, while washing your car in the driveway, you can use as much as 140 gallons.
